Sensory Dining combines touch table technology with experiences focusing on taste and aroma. Ideum, a 25-year-old experience design firm specializing in interactive exhibits and public installations, developed this initiative. Our development of touch tables, tangible technology, and a wide range of multisensory installations uniquely qualify us to design and develop these new tasting experiences.
Our passion for food, wine, history, and culture also intertwines this development. Professionally, Ideum has developed tasting experiences with Starbucks, JCB wines, MSC Cruise Lines, and others. Our work with museum clients has explored various cultural, historical, and scientific topics. Highlights from this creative work can be found in the Ideum portfolio. We'd also like to acknowledge VARA Winery & Distillery for their indispensable advice and help in the final development of the Wine Experience software.
From a personal perspective, wine tasting and viticulture are of deep interest. Our founder has grown various European grapes at high altitudes in Corrales, New Mexico, for the last decade. Collaborating with local winemakers, he has had a front-row seat to the growth of the burgeoning wine industry in New Mexico. You can learn more about this connection on the Ideum blog.
Our first offering, The Tasting Table and the Wine Experience is a model for creating visitor-centric tasting experiences. A few Tasting Tables are available for early adopters this year, 2024, for a one-time price, including a lifetime software license without subscription fees. Please contact the Ideum Sales team for more information.
An expanded version of the Wine Experience software will be released next year as we expand production of the Tasting Table. We will post more information about future developments on the Sensory Dining site and in the news section of the Ideum website.
One of Ideum's first public tasting events was at Vara's Nob Hill tasting room in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
